Communications Manager

About the role

The Communications Manager will be central to strengthening and scaling LGC’s external voice, translating complex scientific information into compelling narratives that showcase the company’s impact on health, food security and public safety. Working closely with the Director of Brand and Corporate Communications, you will shape and deliver consistent, high‑quality communications across media, digital and corporate platforms worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Drive external visibility and media impact through integrated communications plans aligned with business priorities.
• Lead communications for major milestones such as product launches, site openings and strategic announcements.
• Build and maintain strong journalist relationships to secure high‑quality coverage.
• Strengthen LGC’s positioning across priority markets and audiences.
• Support reputation management and issue response in partnership with senior stakeholders.
• Deliver integrated programmes that connect external visibility with clear internal communications.
• Shape clear, differentiated narratives that reinforce LGC’s mission and scientific impact.
• Produce high‑quality content including press releases, thought‑leadership pieces, executive messaging and campaign assets.
• Translate complex scientific and technical topics into accessible, impact‑focused stories.
