Customer Service Assistant – Retail Store

About the role

As a Customer Service Assistant you will be the front‑line of the store, ensuring every visitor enjoys a smooth and friendly experience. From helping with parking and trolley availability to keeping shelves stocked and handling payments with a smile, your focus will be on delivering excellent service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers throughout the store, answering queries and providing product information.
• Maintain tidy and well‑stocked aisles, ensuring deliveries are processed promptly.
• Operate the checkout, handling transactions accurately and courteously.
• Support the store team with tidying, merchandising and loss‑prevention tasks.
• Identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and share ideas with management.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar customer‑facing role is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to providing a high level of service to every visitor.

• Hourly pay rates: £12.71 (21+), £12.00 (18‑20), £8.82 (under 18).
• Up to £300 per month gain‑share bonus.
