Director – Insurance Risk Management (London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Director to lead the Insurance Risk Management function for a global investment solutions provider based in London. This senior position will shape the firm’s risk strategy, work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, and drive operational excellence across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive insurance risk strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal global stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with external insurance brokers and dealers to secure optimal coverage.
• Identify and implement improvements to internal processes and efficiencies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small, high‑performing team in London.

Required profile

• Proven global insurance risk management experience.
• Strong managerial and team‑leadership capabilities.
• Background in leading an insurance risk department, either from an insurance broker or underwriting environment.
