Consultant – Private Equity Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant to join our professional services team, working closely with leading private equity firms across the UK. You will own project and programme delivery, providing strategic solutions to complex challenges while driving impact for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects and workstreams, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed milestones, scope, and budgets.
• Act as the escalation point for project issues, prioritising risks and communicating them to the Project Director.
• Analyse and document client business requirements and functional specifications.
• Engage directly with stakeholders, operations teams, and IT professionals to understand business processes and supporting systems.
• Facilitate internal discussions and external client meetings throughout the delivery lifecycle (scoping, design, testing, training, implementation).
• Delegate and manage tasks across analysts and other resources.
• Own project planning, change control, and alignment with the Project Director.
• Prepare status materials for meetings and steering committees, delivering updates independently.

Required profile

• Proven experience in consulting for private equity or finance‑focused organisations.
• Strong business analysis, strategic thinking, and team‑leadership capabilities.
• Excellent client‑facing skills, able to manage senior relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Commitment to personal development and sharing expertise with colleagues.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with the iLEVEL system.
• Project management certification or methodology knowledge (e.g., Prince2).
