Financial Controller

About the role

Isometric, the leading carbon removal registry, is seeking a Financial Controller to own and scale its finance operations. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting, revenue processes and financial reporting while supporting the company’s rapid growth and fundraising activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end close, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll coordination.
• Oversee invoicing, billing, collections and revenue recognition.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts and board‑level reporting packs.
• Partner with the Chief of Staff and leadership on runway planning, pricing analysis and fundraising preparation.
• Lead relationships with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors, and strengthen internal controls and workflows.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with hands‑on experience in a high‑growth startup or scale‑up.
• Proven ability to improve and scale finance processes.
• Comfortable working across the full finance stack and thriving in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments.
• Commitment to a long‑term role (5‑10 years) and to in‑person collaboration.

Required skills

• Financial accounting (month‑end close, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, payroll coordination).
• Revenue operations (invoicing, billing, collections, revenue recognition).
• Financial modelling and three‑statement modeling.
• Strong analytical ability to present complex analysis to non‑finance audiences.
