Graduate Software Engineer

About the role

Amodo, a Sheffield‑based engineering consultancy, is looking for a Graduate Software Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team. You will help design and develop cutting‑edge solutions across a variety of sectors, from quantum computing to biotech, while working on both main and smaller supporting projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and deploy software components for frontend or backend systems.
• Write and maintain code in C++, JavaScript, TypeScript or Python.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop firmware and integrate microcontroller‑based prototypes.
• Participate in rapid‑iteration cycles, delivering high‑impact features within 2‑8 month project windows.
• Contribute to UX and graphic design discussions to ensure a polished user experience.
