Head of Investment Management Controls

About the role

Jupiter, a leading UK investment manager, is seeking a senior professional to lead its first‑line Investment Management Control framework. Reporting to the Investment Management COO, you will shape the control environment across the Investment Management department and manage a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CIO by ensuring robust processes mitigate key risks in Investment Management.
• Act as primary liaison with Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance on matters affecting Investment Management.
• Manage the Investment Management RCSA process and continuously monitor the control environment.
• Escalate control issues to the CIO and Head of Investment Platform as needed.
• Own incident investigation, remediation and reporting across Investment Management.
• Approve Aladdin system access requests for the Investment Management team.
• Handle day‑to‑day enquiries and issues from Investment Management staff.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of investment products and front‑office controls.
• Proven experience leading a first‑line control function in a large investment‑management setting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work with senior risk and compliance partners.
• Ability to manage and develop a small team of direct reports.
