IT Automation Architect

About the role

WSP is building an Automation Center of Excellence to modernize and automate IT processes globally. As an IT Automation Architect you will define, build and scale the automation ecosystem, setting standards and driving adoption across all IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define enterprise automation architecture, including frameworks, standards, guardrails, reusable patterns and reference designs.
• Establish a unified automation ecosystem across all IT functions aligned to the Automation CoE vision.
• Develop technical roadmaps for automation platforms, CI/CD practices, IaC frameworks, integration patterns and event‑driven automation.
• Partner with IT teams to identify automation opportunities that improve reliability, reduce manual effort and enhance service delivery.
• Drive adoption of standard toolsets, coding practices, design reviews and automation quality checks.
• Architect automation solutions for cloud provisioning, network and security operations, identity lifecycle, endpoint management, ITSM request fulfilment, observability and automated remediation.
• Create reusable modules, IaC templates, pipelines, orchestration logic, API integrations and automation libraries using modern toolsets.

Required profile

• Visionary and technically deep professional with proven experience designing and scaling automation ecosystems.
• Strong architectural thinking combined with hands‑on engineering expertise.
• Ability to define governance, standards and guardrails while enabling autonomy across IT teams.
