IT Support Officer – Laptop Provisioning & 1st/2nd Line Support

About the role

School Of Coding & AI is expanding its education programmes and needs a reliable IT Support Officer to keep staff and students productive, connected and secure. You will be the go‑to person for hardware setup, laptop provisioning and day‑to‑day technical assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, deploy and maintain laptops and other IT equipment for new hires and existing staff.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software, user access and general IT issues.
• Troubleshoot laptops, printers, connectivity, peripherals and account‑related problems.
• Manage IT stock, maintain accurate records of allocation, returns and availability.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including device setup, account creation and asset recovery.
• Maintain IT asset registers and ensure proper tracking of all devices.
• Escalate complex issues to third‑party suppliers or support partners.
• Assist with Google Workspace or similar business systems, handling password resets and user access.
• Help uphold basic IT security standards across devices and users.

Required profile

• Practical, organised and comfortable handling a high volume of daily IT issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters to non‑technical users.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and keep devices up to date.
