Manufacturing Director Consultant

About the role

MicroLub, a deep‑tech ingredient company focused on next‑generation protein solutions, is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Director to work on a consulting basis with immediate start. The role involves leading manufacturing strategy, auditing co‑manufacturers and CDMOs across Europe, and helping shape the permanent senior leadership position.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and build relationships with co‑manufacturers and CDMOs throughout Europe and beyond.
• Scale processes from pilot to industrial production, ensuring efficient transfer.
• Manage CDMO and contract manufacturer partnerships to meet project timelines.
• Support recruitment and definition of the future full‑time Manufacturing Director role.
• Travel 30–50% of the time to sites and partner facilities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in food, dairy, or pharmaceutical manufacturing at commercial scale.
• Hands‑on experience with spray drying and/or aseptic processing.
• Proven track record of managing CDMOs and contract manufacturers.
• Solid knowledge of cGMP, HACCP and regulatory compliance.
• BEng/MEng in Process, Chemical, Food or Dairy Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong stakeholder management and rapid network building abilities.
