About the role

As a Night Porter at The Hog’s Head Inn, you will be the face of our hospitality during the overnight hours, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and welcoming experience. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on night‑time work, loves interacting with guests, and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and check guests in and out during night shifts.
• Assist with guest enquiries at reception, the bar, or over the phone.
• Serve guests professionally and respond to their needs promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant, lounge, and other facilities.
• Prepare the restaurant for breakfast service and set up the buffet table.
• Patrol the premises, perform security checks, and ensure a safe environment for all.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable, and customer‑focused attitude.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Highly organised and able to manage night‑time responsibilities efficiently.
• Positive attitude, energetic, and enjoys making guests feel at home.
