About the role
As a Night Porter at The Swallow Falls Inn, you will be the first point of contact for guests during the overnight hours, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. You will work independently, handling reception duties, assisting with enquiries, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests, check them in and out, and handle night‑time reservations.
- Answer guest enquiries at the reception desk, bar, or over the phone.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant, lounge and other public areas.
- Prepare the restaurant for breakfast service and set up the buffet table.
- Patrol the premises, perform security checks and ensure guest safety.
Required profile
- Friendly, approachable and customer‑focused attitude.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Organised, reliable and able to stay alert throughout the night.
