Pharmacist & Independent Prescriber – Community Pharmacy

About the role

This full‑time position supports three community pharmacies in Cathkin, Dalmarnock and Dumbarton. You will provide cover for holidays and days off, deliver NHS and private services, and offer patient‑centred pharmaceutical care, including prescribing for common conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide rota cover for holidays and days off across three pharmacy sites.
• Deliver NHS services, develop private services and prescribe for common conditions.
• Maintain professional, legal and regulatory standards to ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with store managers and support team development.
• Offer expert advice on medicines, administration and treatment benefits.
• Participate in continuing professional development (CPD) and prescribing audits.

Required profile

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to professional growth.
• Non‑qualified candidates must be willing to work towards Independent Prescriber status with company support.
• Full‑time, on‑site work including alternate Saturdays.
