Porter – Full‑time Hospitality Support

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Porter to join Chartwells on a full‑time basis. Working across the venue, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff, supporting a variety of hospitality operations.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the lobby and public areas tidy and presentable.
• Assist housekeeping, restaurant and banqueting teams with room set‑up and furniture movement.
• Perform reception tasks such as booking theatre tickets or restaurant reservations.
• Respond to guest requests and run errands as needed.
• Place and remove safety signage, for example wet‑floor warnings.

Required profile

• Adaptable and able to handle changing priorities.
• Strong communicator who builds relationships easily.
• Proven experience delivering high‑quality customer care.
• Initiative‑driven with good decision‑making for guests.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of health and safety signage.
