Production Engineer – Manufacturing & Maintenance

About the role

This is a varied, hands‑on position split equally between production engineering and maintenance. You will support manufacturing operations, improve efficiency and help keep machinery running to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Support and improve day‑to‑day manufacturing processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support process optimisation, tooling improvements and production line performance.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to achieve operational targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong maintenance engineering and fault‑finding experience.
• Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background.
• Experience supporting production and process improvement activities.
• Good understanding of health & safety in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Engineering qualification preferred (NVQ/HNC/HND or equivalent).
