About the role
Biffa is looking for a Regional General Manager to take full strategic ownership of its London region. Reporting to the Area Business Director, you will drive multi‑site operational excellence through people‑first leadership, safety focus and commercial acumen.
Key responsibilities
- Define and deliver the regional strategy aligned with corporate goals and contribute to national planning.
- Ensure safe, compliant and cost‑effective operations while delivering P&L accountability.
- Lead a high‑performance culture, coach teams, manage succession planning and champion diversity and inclusion.
- Maintain industry‑leading customer service, reduce churn and achieve On‑Time‑In‑Full delivery targets.
- Develop commercial partnerships, support capacity expansion and negotiate disposal rates with procurement.
Required profile
- Proven track record of running large, operationally complex businesses.
- Strong financial acumen with experience owning a P&L.
- Senior leadership experience across commercial, operational and people functions.
- Ability to build and sustain performance‑driven cultures.
