Roadside Technician – Luton (UK)

About the role

Join the RAC Patrol division as a Roadside Technician, providing fast, reliable automotive assistance across the UK. Based in Luton, you’ll start and finish each day from your own driveway, responding to breakdowns, battery issues, tyre changes and complex fault‑finding calls.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs and vehicle diagnostics for members.
• Provide emergency breakdown support, including flat battery replacement, tyre changes and fault‑finding.
• Travel to call‑outs across the UK using a company‑provided RAC van and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of member service, offering reassurance and clear communication.

Required profile

• Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in technical, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Customer‑focused attitude.
• Full UK driving licence.
