Planning & Logistics Specialist

About the role

As a Planning & Logistics Specialist you will ensure the smooth movement of aircraft materials and parts across the easyJet network. Reporting to the Transportation & Distribution Manager, you will work closely with transport partners and internal teams to optimise routes, costs and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan collections and deliveries using the most effective mode, routing, timescale and cost.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve incidents and raise consignment paperwork on time.
• Identify consolidation opportunities to reduce shipment numbers, administrative processing and costs.
• Support the manager in agreeing freight tariffs, challenging costs and developing lane processes.
• Assist customs and logistics teams with HMRC audits, PVA maintenance and deferment account authorisations.
• Implement lane bibles and central repositories for consignment documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding and UK/EU transportation environments.
• Experience with road and air freight management; sea freight is a plus.
• Knowledge of customs requirements and experience planning large‑volume lanes.
• Familiarity with dangerous goods handling in air, sea and road.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
