Senior Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our Design Engineering Team. You will translate customer specifications into robust product designs, create 3D models and detailed drawings, and support the full product lifecycle from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and develop engineered designs that meet technical and commercial goals.
• Produce 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials for new products.
• Perform engineering calculations, FEA, and test‑data analysis to validate designs.
• Ensure compliance with design codes such as API, ISO, PED, and ASME VIII.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles, check drawings and BOMs, and support product transition to production.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
• Represent the engineering department in internal and customer meetings, and deputise for the Principal Engineer when required.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical product design and engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with a logical problem‑solving approach.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver work packages on time and within cost targets.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.
