CNC Apprentice

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a structured pathway to become a skilled mechanical engineering technician, supporting a world‑leading sub‑sea valve manufacturer. You will split your time between classroom study at Gloucestershire Engineering Training and hands‑on work at LB Bentley Ltd’s Stroud facility.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and learn a wide range of engineering processes under the guidance of experienced staff.
• Progressively perform tasks independently, contributing to the department’s output.
• Maintain a detailed logbook of projects, skills acquired, and assessments completed.
• Manufacture components from work instructions and technical drawings to required precision and quality standards.
• Complete NVQ units and workbook assessments within the prescribed timeframe.
• Maintain workshop equipment and uphold 5S + Safety standards.
• Ensure a tidy, safe workplace and present a professional appearance at all times.
