Senior Java Developer

About the role

We are expanding our Technology & Transformation practice and seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and deliver innovative, secure, cloud‑native solutions for clients across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality Java applications.
• Build and secure RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and Spring MVC.
• Collaborate in cross‑functional agile teams to deliver end‑to‑end client solutions.
• Contribute to architecture and system design, addressing non‑functional requirements.
• Support live services, troubleshoot production issues and improve observability.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to the wider engineering community.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Java (Kotlin or Scala a plus).
• Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Experience with Spring Framework, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to obtain UK Security Clearance and hold ILR or British citizenship.
