Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist – Oncology & Acute Care

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team at The Christie Private Care Centre in Manchester. This senior position focuses on oncology and acute care, supporting safe and effective medicines use across inpatient, day‑care and outpatient services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver clinical pharmacy services for oncology and acute‑care patients.
• Provide expert clinical pharmacy input to multidisciplinary teams, including consultants and nurses.
• Support and optimise medicines management systems and contribute to service development.
• Supervise, mentor and educate pharmacy, nursing and medical colleagues.
• Participate in on‑call, late‑shift and weekend pharmacy services as required.

Required profile

• MPharm or BSc in Pharmacy.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
• Acute hospital pharmacy experience (essential).
• Post‑graduate clinical qualification (e.g., Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy) – desirable.
• Experience in oncology or acute medicine – desirable.
