Sensory Support Assistant – Full‑time (Emsworth)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting calm, patient, and resilient individuals to join a specialist SEN secondary school in Emsworth as Sensory Support Assistants. The role involves supporting pupils with moderate learning difficulties, physical and sensory needs, communication challenges, and autism spectrum conditions, providing a nurturing environment for their development.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver sensory support tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Provide emotional and behavioural assistance.
- Engage pupils through adapted learning activities.
- Promote wellbeing, safety, and independence.
- Facilitate communication and relationship building.
- Collaborate with teachers, SEN consultants, and support staff.
Required profile
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
- Professional references covering the last 24 months.
- Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, or health & social care, or equivalent SEN experience.
