Staff Nurse – Oncology (Manchester)

About the role

The Christie Private Care is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join its Oncology Unit. You will work in a CQC‑rated "Outstanding" private centre delivering comprehensive cancer care, from diagnosis through surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and supportive services.

Key responsibilities

• Support the multidisciplinary team in assessing, planning and delivering specialist oncology care.
• Administer systemic anti‑cancer treatments (SACT) and stem‑cell therapies safely.
• Provide patient‑centred care, addressing medical, physical and emotional needs.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the wider care team.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to safety and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

• NMC‑registered nurse with experience in NHS or private hospital settings.
• Post‑registration experience in an oncology environment is desirable.
• Commitment to continuous professional development in cancer care.

Required skills

• Administration of Systemic Anti‑Cancer Treatments (SACT).
• Stem‑cell administration.
• Oncology nursing procedures and protocols.
