Staff Nurse – Woodland View, Ayrshire Central Hospital

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the team on Ward 1 at Woodland View, Ayrshire Central Hospital. The role is permanent, part‑time (23 hours per week) on a rotational day/night shift pattern, supporting a 30‑bed general rehabilitation ward.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients on the rehabilitation ward.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence‑based practice and safe patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and keep professional knowledge up to date.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to nursing students and junior staff.
• Adapt to flexible shift patterns, including weekend duties.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Familiarity with NHS Ayrshire & Arran policies and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
