About the role
We are seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the team on Ward 1 at Woodland View, Ayrshire Central Hospital. The role is permanent, part‑time (23 hours per week) on a rotational day/night shift pattern, supporting a 30‑bed general rehabilitation ward.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to patients on the rehabilitation ward.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure evidence‑based practice and safe patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and keep professional knowledge up to date.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to nursing students and junior staff.
- Adapt to flexible shift patterns, including weekend duties.
Required profile
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Familiarity with NHS Ayrshire & Arran policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
