About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a full‑time Teaching Assistant for a Year 6 class in a thriving primary school in West London. The school has an Ofsted rating of “Good” and offers a supportive environment with training opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering the curriculum and managing classroom activities.
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group assistance to pupils as needed.
- Assist with safeguarding duties and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Prepare and organise teaching resources and maintain records.
Required profile
- Minimum of one year experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
- Current safeguarding training completed within the last year.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and registration with the online update service.
- Right to work in the UK and two professional child‑related references covering the past two years.
Required skills
- Knowledge of primary‑school teaching practices and behaviour management.
- Ability to use basic IT tools for record‑keeping and resource preparation.
