About the role
Join a welcoming primary school in Lytham St. Annes, providing dedicated morning support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition. The role is part‑time (mornings only) and focuses on academic progress, emotional wellbeing and classroom engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to the Year 6 pupil, tailoring activities to promote independence and positive behaviour.
- Implement strategies that enhance the pupil’s academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SEN team and other staff to integrate support within lessons.
- Help maintain an inclusive learning environment that benefits all pupils.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting pupils with autism or other additional needs.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Calm, patient and supportive approach to student interaction.
- Flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of the child and integrate smoothly into the school setting.
