Temporary Ocean Import Coordinator – Immediate Start

About the role
Our client, a well‑established freight forwarding business in Liverpool, is looking for a Temporary Ocean Import Coordinator to start immediately. This six‑month contract will support the busy import team in delivering seamless ocean shipments for a diverse customer base.
Key responsibilities
- Manage ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery.
- Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers and customers to coordinate movements.
- Monitor shipment milestones, update customers proactively and resolve any issues.
- Prepare accurate import documentation and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Process customs‑related information and coordinate clearance activities.
- Raise files, invoice and maintain precise operational records.
Required profile
- Previous experience in freight forwarding, specifically ocean imports.
- Strong understanding of end‑to‑end import processes and customs procedures.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with shipping lines, agents and customs authorities.
- Excellent organisational skills and capacity to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
