About the role

The Albanian Academic Network (RASH) is looking for a System Administrator to maintain and support its Linux‑based physical and virtual servers. The role involves ensuring reliable operation of the infrastructure, implementing security controls and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting and technical support for physical and virtual Linux servers.
• Install and configure software and hardware following standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with service providers and system/network engineers to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Monitor resource usage continuously and optimise performance as required.
• Implement and maintain security and integrity controls for the environment.
• Recommend and implement automation solutions to streamline routine tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma in Computer Science, Informatics, Electronics or a related field.
• Experience with Linux‑based systems and Windows Server.
• Familiarity with storage, virtualization, web server and database technologies.
• Understanding of IP networking and Cisco equipment; CCNA certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes is an advantage.
