AI Lead Engineer – UK Security Clearance (SC) required

About the role

We are partnering with a global organisation investing heavily in AI and digital transformation. They are seeking an AI Lead Engineer to design, build and scale AI‑powered solutions across the business. The role is hands‑on and requires proven delivery of AI solutions in production.

Key responsibilities

• Shape AI initiatives and influence technical decisions across the enterprise.
• Design, develop and scale AI‑powered solutions, including large language models and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation pipelines.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Ensure AI governance, security and best‑practice compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering AI/Generative AI solutions in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of large language models (LLMs), RAG and modern AI architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with Python and cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Ability to integrate AI solutions into enterprise applications.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC) – British citizen, EU leave‑to‑remain or ILR required.
