About the role
AirX Jet Support, a UK CAA and EASA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation, is looking for an Aircraft Check Manager to lead the planning, execution and control of aircraft checks at its London Stansted Diamond Hangar. The role reports to the Production Manager and works a rotational 5‑5‑4 day shift pattern.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Technical Services and Materials to develop detailed production plans.
- Review work scopes, task cards and customer packages to ensure resources are ready before aircraft induction.
- Allocate manpower, tooling, equipment and facilities efficiently during the check.
- Lead the maintenance team, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor progress, productivity and technical performance, escalating issues and creating recovery plans.
- Control work order execution, sign‑off and ensure accurate documentation in logbooks and handovers.
- Act as primary customer contact, providing regular updates and managing schedule changes.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience in Base Maintenance support within a hangar environment.
- Proven Category C Certifying Engineer experience with release to service authority.
- Valid UK CAA and/or EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 licence (Category C).
- Comprehensive understanding of Part 145 regulations.
- Legal right to work in the UK and a clean UK driving licence.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn and use in‑house maintenance management systems.
