About the role
Are you looking to launch your career in the chemical industry? Seqens is offering a rewarding 24-month Apprenticeship as a Quality Control Laboratory Technician. You will join a highly active laboratory environment, working alongside a team of experienced chemists to ensure the highest standards of product excellence.
Main Missions
- Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediate batches, and finished products.
- Conduct calibrations and testing for the maintenance and certification of measuring instruments.
- Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment, including viscometers, pH meters, and gas chromatographs.
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and instruments in strict accordance with QC procedures.
- Record and interpret analytical results, while troubleshooting instrumentation and analytical issues.
- Manage sample shipping and environmental monitoring (MCERTS).
- Collaborate closely with production teams and other departments to support QC chemists.
Profile sought
- Minimum of GCSE Grade 4 in Mathematics, English, and Science (Chemistry is highly preferred).
- Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
- A hands-on, practical approach to technical work.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
