Architect – Lead Projects Across Sectors

About the role

SPACE Architects is seeking a talented Architect to lead projects from concept to completion across a variety of sectors. You will work in a purpose‑led, people‑first studio that values sustainability, innovation and collaborative design.

Key responsibilities

• Lead medium to large‑scale projects across multiple sectors, managing all RIBA stages.
• Produce high‑quality, coordinated architectural and technical design using Revit and BIM.
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, CDM regulations and current technical standards.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver imaginative, buildable, low‑carbon solutions.
• Drive innovative low‑carbon and whole‑life design approaches, contributing to the studio’s digital carbon model.
• Support project programming, resource planning and efficient delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and uphold quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• ARB‑registered architect with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver medium to large projects across diverse sectors.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and CDM health‑and‑safety principles.
• Experience in ISO 9001 quality management and BIM Level 2 environments is desirable.
• Excellent collaborative communication skills with clients and design teams.
