Artworker – Silkscreen & Digital Print Production

About the role

We are looking for an Artworker to prepare and develop artwork for Make‑Ready’s silkscreen and digital print editions. Working in our North London studio, you will turn supplied artwork into production‑ready files, colour separations, film positives and digital proofs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare artwork for silkscreen and digital editions, including image adjustments, sizing and colour separations.
• Develop proofs with printmakers, make controlled adjustments and record changes.
• Output film positives, digital samples and prints, checking scale, quality and registration.
• Perform file checks and quality control against project specifications.
• Maintain accurate job sheets, artwork files and revision records, and communicate updates to the team.
• Plan and deliver work according to agreed priorities and timelines, raising risks when needed.
• Carry out routine equipment checks, cleaning and maintenance, and support wider studio tasks.

Required profile

• Accountable and organised, meeting deadlines and raising issues early.
• Curious and practical, eager to understand how images become physical prints.
• Reliable and collaborative, punctual and clear in communication.

Required skills

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop; experience with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign is desirable.
• Good eye for colour, resolution, image dimensions, layers and colour profiles.
• Experience in artworking, pre‑press or digital print; silkscreen colour separation, RIP software and large‑format inkjet are a plus.
