AR/VR Software Development Engineer – Vision Products

About the role

Join Apple’s RealityKit framework team to build the character animation systems that power digital beings on the Vision Pro spatial computer. You will work on cutting‑edge real‑time animation technologies that enable expressive, responsive characters in mixed‑reality experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement animation runtime systems, including skeletal pipelines, blend trees, inverse‑kinematics solvers and procedural motion techniques.
• Optimize animation code for performance and physical plausibility on resource‑constrained devices.
• Collaborate with artists, designers and other engineers to translate artistic intent into robust software solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of the RealityKit framework and ensure it supports AAA‑quality experiences for developers of all skill levels.

Required profile

• Proven industry experience in animation systems, game engines or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Graphics or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of C++ and real‑time animation architectures.
• Solid understanding of 3D mathematics, including linear algebra, quaternions and transforms.
