Band 6 Rehabilitation Community Nurse (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

We are seeking a Band 6 Registered Nurse to join the North West Rehabilitation Service within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. This part‑time, fixed‑term position (maternity cover) is based in a community health centre and focuses on older and disabled adults with complex needs, promoting independence and supporting safe discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a complex clinical caseload independently, applying specialist nursing knowledge.
• Deliver person‑centred rehabilitation care aimed at maximising independence.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support assessment, treatment and discharge planning.
• Supervise support workers and nursing students.
• Provide professional nursing leadership, guidance and development within the team.

Required profile

• Registered with the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) and hold a current nursing registration.
• Experience in community nursing and multidisciplinary team working.
• Background in neurology or related complex care.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex caseload.
