Behaviour Mentor – Part‑time Support for Children (Trafford)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Trafford from September. In this part‑time position you will work directly with pupils who need additional behavioural, emotional and learning support, helping them engage positively with their education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers, teaching assistants and families to develop individualized support plans.
• Monitor progress and record observations to inform ongoing interventions.
• Deliver support during designated school hours, either mornings or afternoons, up to 20 hours per week.

Required profile

• At least 6 months experience working with children in the UK.
• Experience supporting children with SEN or in a similar child‑focused role (e.g., teaching assistant, youth worker).
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Patient, resilient, proactive attitude towards behavioural and emotional challenges.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
