Business Management Consultant – Remote (up to $150/hr)

About the role

Mercor is seeking an experienced Business Management Consultant to work remotely on a contract basis. You will help elite AI research labs solve ambiguous business challenges by turning them into clear hypotheses and data‑driven analyses.

Key responsibilities

• Structure ambiguous business problems into hypotheses and analytical frameworks.
• Build financial models, market sizing, competitive benchmarks, and unit‑economics analyses.
• Synthesize findings into executive‑ready deliverables such as decks, memos, and dashboards.
• Lead client conversations, workshops, and working sessions with senior stakeholders.
• Support implementation planning and change management when required.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience at a top‑tier management consulting firm (MBB, Big Four strategy arms, or comparable tier‑1 boutique).
• Strong expertise in at least one area: corporate strategy, operations/performance improvement, corporate finance, commercial due diligence, or go‑to‑market strategy.
• Excellent structured problem‑solving and executive communication skills.
• Comfortable owning workstreams end‑to‑end in a fast‑paced, high‑autonomy environment.
• MBA or equivalent graduate credential from a top program is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for financial modeling.
