Capital Plant Sales Manager – South Region

About the role

We are partnering with a successful engineering business to recruit an experienced Southern Regional Sales Manager. This commercially focused field‑sales role involves selling capital plant and equipment to engineering and manufacturing customers across the South.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts across the Southern region.
• Manage the full sales cycle for high‑value capital plant and equipment.
• Build strong relationships with customers and distribution partners.
• Identify new market opportunities and drive sales growth.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial presentations.
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a technical field sales role.
• Previous experience selling capital plant or capital equipment.
• Engineering or manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience managing long sales cycles and high‑value projects.
• Strong business development and key account management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable managing a large territory independently.

• £55,000 basic salary plus uncapped commission, OTE £85,000+.
