Care Assistant – Residential Care Home

About the role

As a Care Assistant in a Barchester care home you will help residents enjoy each day by delivering high‑quality, compassionate support. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and ensure each resident receives personalised attention.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents with meals, hydration and personal care according to individual care plans.
• Spend one‑to‑one time with residents, fostering meaningful interactions and memories.
• Follow and document care plans, reporting any changes in health or wellbeing.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the home.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older adults or in a similar care setting.
• Strong communication skills and a warm, empathetic demeanor.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to varied daily tasks.
• Commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.
