Category Procurement Manager – Ambient & Frozen

About the role

We are seeking a Category Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and supplier management for our ambient and frozen product ranges. You will work closely with the Supply Chain team, the Head of Procurement and the NPD team to ensure commercial success and operational readiness of new and existing products.

Key responsibilities

• Own procurement for ambient & frozen categories, including supplier selection, performance monitoring and onboarding.
• Lead price negotiations, market and commodity analysis, and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Partner with the Head of Procurement to define category strategy and sourcing roadmap.
• Collaborate with NPD to source new suppliers and products across all temperature regimes.
• Ensure all supplier documentation, commercial terms and certifications are up‑to‑date.
• Represent supply chain in NPD/EPD projects and guarantee operational readiness for launches, managing MOQs, lead times and supply‑chain risks.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience in buying, procurement or product/NPD, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Strong commercial acumen, confident negotiator and proven supplier relationship manager.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder‑management skills, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of NPD gate processes and supply‑chain operations.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, freight and customs processes for food imports.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Open‑minded, flexible and a can‑do attitude.
