Catering Lecturer

About the role
We are seeking a Catering Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching to 16‑19 year‑old learners and apprentices across further education colleges and training providers in North‑West London. The role can be undertaken on a part‑time or full‑time basis and is temporary.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver catering‑related curriculum for learners at various levels.
- Assess student work, provide feedback and mark assignments in line with assessment standards.
- Manage classroom behaviour and support a positive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records, attendance and progress reports.
- Collaborate with college staff and external partners to ensure course relevance.
Required profile
- Teaching qualification such as AET, PTLLS, PGCE or equivalent.
- Assessors’ qualification (e.g., A1, D33/D34, CAVA, TAQA, IQA) or willingness to obtain.
- Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Catering.
- Experience working with 16‑19‑year‑old learners or apprentices.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organisational and time‑management capabilities.
