About the role
The Chat Support Specialist provides professional, written assistance to customers via live chat during evenings and weekends. This part‑time, fully remote position supports a UK consumer business, ensuring out‑of‑hours enquiries are answered promptly and accurately.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to inbound chat enquiries during scheduled evening and weekend shifts.
- Resolve straightforward issues and escalate complex cases for daytime follow‑up.
- Maintain accurate notes and case records in the support system.
- Follow out‑of‑hours response procedures and service standards.
- Hand over outstanding cases to the daytime team with clear context.
- Identify and flag recurring out‑of‑hours issues to support leads.
Required profile
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Availability to work consistent evening and weekend shifts.
- Previous experience in customer service or chat‑based support.
- Comfortable using chat platforms and CRM systems.
- Good problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently.
- Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work outside standard hours.
- Stable home internet connection and a quiet workspace.
