Chef de Partie

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Copthorne Hotel Newcastle. The successful candidate will run a designated section, produce high‑quality dishes under pressure and support junior staff throughout a busy service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to the hotel’s standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of health and food safety legislation, including HACCP, and perform required quality and safety checks.
• Lead junior chefs by example in food preparation and service.
• Manage stock levels, store food safely, and minimise waste.
• Create and maintain dish recipe cards and ensure allergen information is readily available.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth service, especially in the absence of senior chefs.

Required profile

• Passion for food and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards.
• Willingness to take responsibility for a section and support team members.
• Flexibility to work full‑time (40 hours across five days).

Required skills

• HACCP knowledge and implementation.
