Chef de Rang – Luxury Hotel Service

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park is seeking a motivated Chef de Rang to join its Rosebery team. Working in a world‑class luxury hotel, you will deliver exceptional service to guests while upholding the brand’s high standards of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Handle guest requests, queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Prepare mise en place and ensure the service area is ready for each shift.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu and product offerings, and upsell food and beverages where appropriate.
• Complete billing procedures accurately.
• Work a rotating shift pattern, including mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a food & beverage environment, preferably in a high‑end, luxury establishment.
• Guest‑focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexibility to adapt to varied shift schedules.

Required skills

• Preparation of mise en place.
• In‑depth menu knowledge and product awareness.
• Upselling techniques for food and beverage.
