Community Manager

About the role

The Community Manager will lead an autonomous business unit, overseeing daily operations, team members, and resources to achieve financial and operational goals while creating a vibrant, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Model core values and lead the team to create memorable resident experiences.
• Partner with marketing to develop local leasing strategies and implement campaigns to meet occupancy and revenue targets.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing performance data and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with residents proactively to improve service delivery and enhance community events.
• Recommend rental rates based on market data and monitor payments to achieve revenue goals.
• Prepare and forecast annual budgets, analyze financial statements, and conduct regular P&L reviews.
• Manage investor and resident satisfaction through timely reporting and responsive issue resolution.
• Identify training needs, develop team capabilities, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Oversee purchase orders, vendor invoicing, and coordinate with finance for payments.
• Supervise tenancy management, including inspections, evictions, and fee collection.
• Drive health and safety culture, monitor compliance, and manage incident reporting.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring high‑quality completion within budget and schedule.
• Conduct regular walk‑abouts and inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards.

Required profile

• Good level of general education.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to use property management software (training provided).
• Knowledge of UK Health & Safety policies, preferably with IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
• Understanding of landlord/tenant legislation.
