About the role
The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a qualified podiatrist to join its Community Rehabilitation team. Working from a Community Centre for Health, you will provide specialist podiatry services to adults across the North West locality, helping patients maintain health and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Take professional and legal accountability for all aspects of patient care.
- Assess individuals' capacity to give consent and work within the legal framework for patients lacking capacity.
- Independently analyse clinical and social information to deliver comprehensive diagnoses and determine podiatry interventions.
- Utilise evidence‑based assessment tools and outcome measures, including for rapidly progressing conditions.
- Engage patients in goal‑setting to formulate treatment objectives.
- Follow tissue viability and wound‑care guidelines.
- Manage a podiatry caseload efficiently, prioritising clinical needs.
- Deliver high‑standard podiatry treatment for a range of adult conditions and support colleagues to maintain standards.
- Collaborate within a multi‑professional team to ensure effective communication and coordinated care.
Required profile
- Ability to work independently at an advanced clinical level.
- Competence in assessing capacity and applying legal frameworks for consent.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret clinical and non‑clinical information.
- Commitment to patient‑centred care and goal‑oriented treatment planning.
- Effective teamwork and communication within a multidisciplinary environment.

What we offer
- Permanent part‑time contract (18.5 hours per week).
- Flexible working hours within 08:30‑16:15, Monday‑Friday.
- Pro‑rata salary in line with NHS pay scales.
