Construction Manager

About the role

Severn Trent is seeking a Construction Manager to join its Capital Delivery function within the Waste Infrastructure team. You will support the safe and effective delivery of capital projects across the waste network, working closely with supply‑chain partners and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site assurance for health & safety, quality and construction standards across multiple waste infrastructure schemes.
• Support contractor performance, drive continuous improvement and ensure consistency in project delivery.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and H&S teams to align delivery approaches.
• Promote and implement construction best practices throughout the portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction, civil engineering or a utilities environment.
• Strong knowledge of CDM, RAMS, temporary works and site assurance processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence where needed.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused attitude and ability to use data to support decision‑making.
