Construction Manager – RC Frame Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our Birmingham site, focusing on reinforced‑concrete (RC) frame projects. You will be responsible for delivering safe, on‑time and on‑budget construction works while coordinating a diverse team of operatives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and maintain 2‑4 week look‑ahead schedules.
• Schedule, coordinate and supervise daily activities of site gangs and operatives.
• Carry out and record site inspections, ensuring compliance with approved method statements.
• Conduct, amend and communicate risk assessments; deliver toolbox talks and briefings.
• Manage equipment, materials and delivery logistics.
• Track and document daily production and ensure completion of required documentation.
• Act as Temporary Works Supervisor, overseeing installation, inspection and permitting of temporary works schemes.
• Share knowledge and mentor team members to promote best practices.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS card and SMSTS certification (first‑aid certification is advantageous).
• Qualified by experience (trade background) or a construction‑related degree.
• Proven experience on sub‑ and super‑structure packages, particularly concrete/RC frame structures and basements.
• Excellent communication skills and strong man‑management abilities.
